digifab
Alan snuck me down to the old wood-shop, which is being turned into a student center and jury space. The digifab class he's in is designing a ceiling and wall system for the new jury room. The professor is notorious for loving design for the sake of design... I'm not sure if the ceiling system has any performative qualities, but I can certainly appreciate the coolness-factor.

this is not a building
The College of Architecture is hosting an exhibit on Hester + Hardaway, photographic partners that specialize in architectural photography. The exhibit is filled with artifacts, prints, and publications... There are some beautiful shots of buildings, but what makes the exhibition so interesting isn't necessarily the subject matter, but the process, and the focus on living and dwelling. Here are a few things that caught my eye.

allyson
Here's a few recent photos of my sister by German photographer Claudia Grassl for Celeste magazine, shot very much in the stylized vein of Juergen Teller.
If you recall my post on her trip to New York, Allyson had several offers and signs a contract tomorrow with Re:Quest Model Management. I may have to tag along on one of these trips to the big apple :).

neubau welt and neubau modul
I finally found an (affordable) copy of Neubau Modul. Neubau Welt and Neubau Modul are the work of Stefan Gandl and Christoph Grunberger (Neubau.) Welt is an extensive catalog of people, cars, trees, and objects, while Modul is a massive collection of patterns. The best part? The included CD's, with all of the files.
